On this box you can enter your ping list, and the wordpress will notify this list anytime you post the new content on your blog. You might need to refine your pinglist.

Warning: using WordPress ping function can burn your blog from ping service.

Do not panic! there is a way to avoid this from happening to your blog. And the solution is by using MaxblogPress Ping Optimizer plugin.

How to Install Maxblog Ping Optimizer.

  1. Download “MaxBlogPress Ping Optimizer” plugin from here.
  2. Open wp-content/plugins folder at your web server.
  3. Upload the folder: “maxblogpress-ping-optimizer” there.
  4. Go to Plugins page in your wordpress back office.
  5. Activate “MaxBlogPress Ping Optimizer”.
  6. Go to Settings>>MBP PingOptimizer for modifying the settings

How to use the plugin

After the successful installation of the plugin, Activate it and go to Settings>MBP Ping Optimizer

In the box is the list of ping services which your blog will ping. (NOTE: By default MBP Ping Optimizer does not come with the whole list of ping service. Search for and add you list and the plugin will do the rest for you)

It will automatically be pinged when you publish new posts or drafts. Not when you publish future posts or edit previously published posts, as WordPress does by default

It is synchronized with the original update services found in Settings>> writing. As shown in the first image above.

Ping now, will force the plugin to ping the services

Ping Log will show you a list of log, displaying all the ping activities, here you will notice that when you update or make some changes to already pinged post, the plugin wont re-ping, and this will keep your weblog safe from being banned from ping spamming.

I personally use this pluging and it has proven to be one of the greatest assets in my blogging tools, I hope you will find it useful too.
